I have been daunted by the blank page for far too long. I’ve feared other’s opinions for longer. The truth is that I have so many awesome ideas for this and I’ve put them off for various reasons. This isn’t meant to be an empty place with a skeleton of posts. This is meant to be a space. A space where the only limits exist within the reader’s mind, not here, not in these words. I want to help you stretch, help you grow. Like I have.
The very opinions that I’ve feared are the limits that are meant to exist. Those opinions are bounds that exist to be shifted. I would know because I’ve seen them shift within my own mind. If you have an open mind, you are welcome here. Be open to the space and let it challenge you. If you are not open, you won’t be ready to hear what I have to say, and that’s okay. Take your time. It will be here when you are ready.
I am ready. I’ve learned to distinguish how mindsets reveal themselves. I’ve learned where my own mindset existed around my writing, and about what I have to say. Over the past year, I’ve written and shared more writing than I ever have. I found my voice time after time. I learned what it was like to bring people to where I am. It was a wondrous experience. And I am ready to make that this place.
I look forward to delving into the vast expanses that this space contains. Though the very word – contains – is an assumption of bounds of which this is not. We like containers, compartments, and boxes. We have so many words for various forms of containment. They are vehicles with which to wrap our minds around something. They can be useful, and that is why words, sentences, paragraphs and blog posts will still seek to “contain”. Though, mind you, it will be an imperfect containment. To contain is to control, and we often seek that when we try to encompass something.
We humans have and always will continue to strive to wrap our minds around things that escape containment. This space is an exploration around those fugitives. If you so desire, please consider following along. I will no longer be sharing these so readily as I once have. Following will be the only way you can be sure to see them all. There’s no use bogging down other platforms when this one has it’s own way of notifying you. I hope you will consider coming along with me on this journey. I look forward to growing with you.
